Alessandro Nesta's autographed card, wearing a Lazio jersey, published by Panini for the Chronicles Elite Soccer 2019/2020 series. Alessandro Nesta, a central defender of absolute elegance and power, was the emblem of the youth academy and the captain during Lazio's golden age in the late 1990s. A product of the Biancocelesti youth system, Nesta made his Serie A debut in March 1994 and over the years established himself as one of the best defenders in the world, known for his effective anticipation and great tactical ability. Under Sven-Göran Eriksson, Nesta was the lynchpin of Lazio's defense, which won numerous trophies in Italy and Europe, often lifting them while wearing the captain's armband: Scudetto (1999-2000); Cup Winners' Cup (1998-99), won in the final in Birmingham against Mallorca; UEFA Super Cup (1999), lifted in Monte Carlo after the victory against Manchester United; 2 Italian Cups (1997-98, 1999-2000); 2 Italian Super Cups (1998, 2000) The highlight was the victory of the 1999-2000 Scudetto, the second in the club's history, in which Nesta was fundamental.
