Giuseppe Bergomi, affectionately nicknamed "Lo Zio" (The Uncle) for his mature demeanor from a young age, is one of the greatest icons and symbols of dedication in Inter's history. Bergomi played for Inter throughout his professional career, from 1979 to 1999, for a total of 20 seasons. With 757 appearances, he is the club's second-most appearance-making player, surpassed only by Javier Zanetti. He holds the all-time record for Inter's appearances in the UEFA Cup/Europa League.
