Florence, for Tartini and Franchi, 1724. On 2nd. Large portrait of the author on the frontispiece drawn by Ferretti and engraved by Franceschini, copperplate vignette with an allegory of Florence on the common title page, title page in red and black, on the other title pages a beautiful vignette depicting the interior of a printing workshop, some browning of the paper but otherwise an excellent copy, very fresh, contemporary full parchment binding with title on a red leather tag on the spine, yellow edges.

A magnificent edition, edited by G. Bottari and preceded by a biography of Tasso by G. B. Manso. Some of the poems are published here for the first time.
