Isernia, Camillo Cavallo, 1644. On 2nd page. On the title page, a vignette with a noble coat of arms engraved on copper, woodcut endpieces, Roman type, some handwritten annotations, water stain on the upper margin, light browning, minor foxing, contemporary full parchment binding, gilt titles on a red label on the spine, blue spray edges, minor defects. Paper bookplate on the inside cover.
Specialist Notes
A rare first edition of the first work printed in the city of Isernia. Giovanni Vincenzo Ciarlanti, archpriest of the Cathedral, dedicates the volume to GA Enriquez, whose coat of arms is printed on the title page.
