Lowered cylinder, with ship battle scene almost completely faded and "COLT'S PATENT" barely legible. Working mechanism, three snaps, safety lock of the trigger not working. Frame with three screws, "COLTS PATENT" mark still legible. Brass trigger guard marked "44 Cal." Iron, back band. Walnut grip with defects, minor damage, signs of use and time, featuring a deeply marked "H" on the left side and an "A". Matching serial number "189xxx" on barrel, cylinder (abbreviated), frame, pin (abbreviated) and gripstraps. Some play between barrel and frame.
