4-1/2" octagonal, rifled barrel, with foresight, standard single line marking, which is not clearly visible. Caliber probably 38 rimfire (9.7 mm at the nozzle). Clean bore, visible rifling. Five-shot cylinder without engravings. Working mechanism in good condition. Trigger guard marked "36 Cal." Grip with brass bands. Serial number "200xx" on barrel (not clearly visible), frame and grip bands, two serial numbers on the cylinder (typical of this model), one matching the rest of the components. The parts are also marked "I.P" on the lower side next to the numbers. Patent markings from 1871 and 1872. Much of the nickel plating (about 70%) is preserved, probably earlier. Smooth, walnut grip scales.
