Short, 4" octagonal barrel, with brass cusp-foresight, single-line marking "ADDRESS COL SAM.L COLT NEW-YORK US AMERICA", 31 cal. The bore needs light cleaning, some slight pitting and encrustment, visible rifling. Six-shot cylinder with fairly visible attack scene, marked "COLTS PATENT". Frame marked "COLTS PATENT". Matching serial number "325xxx" on barrel, barrel wedge (shortened) frame, grip bands, cylinder (shortened) and pin (shortened). Brass grip strips. Walnut grip. Working mechanism, three snaps, the trigger safety lock is working. The barrel with part of its antique blueing (about 50%); frame, hammer and cartridge rammer with remains of casehardeniing. The cylinder also has remains of finishing.
