Specialist Notes
A book on furniture and furniture makers in Italy was published by the Milan Chamber of Commerce for Industry and Agriculture in 1961, and it depicted the current model stacking tables. This book attributed the present design to the Sala Pietro Arredamenti edition. Four years earlier, Domus presented this model in an article illustrating and describing an exhibition called “Colori e forme nella casa d’oggi” in which Ico and Luisa Parisi designed a space where leading Lombardian architects presented rooms meant to synthesize industrial design, art, and architecture. In a room designed by Sergio Asti and Sergio Favri, the present model tables were placed, along with other works by Angelo Ostuni and Renato Forti. Domus's description of the room and the table's formal elements indicate that Ostuni and Forti are likely to be the designers of the present stacking tables.
