The Lancia Flaminia 2.8, produced from the early 1970s until 1973, represents the final evolution of the prestigious Lancia flagship launched in 1957. By 1972, this model was in the final phase of its career, but continued to stand out for its elegance, build quality, and refined technical solutions. The 2.8 version was equipped with a 2,775 cc V6 engine designed by Vittorio Jano, with carburetor fueling, capable of offering a smooth and lively ride for the time. The Flaminia also retained advanced technical features such as rear-wheel drive with a transaxle gearbox and independent suspension, elements that ensured excellent comfort and stability. Built in relatively limited numbers, the Flaminia 2.8 today represents one of the last great classic Lancias, a symbol of the period in which the brand was synonymous with technical innovation and discreet luxury.

We are offering an extraordinary example of a Lancia Flaminia with a fascinating and absolutely unique history. Named “Luna,” this extremely elegant sedan was part of the Quirinale's fleet, officially accompanying the President of the Republic Giuseppe Saragat on his institutional engagements.
Decommissioned by the Presidency of the Republic in 1972, the car had only few owners before entering the current collection in 2015. It is the fourth-last Flaminia ever built, belonging to an exclusive batch of models produced by Lancia to meet the needs of the Quirinale.
The car retains its original engine and, surprisingly, has never undergone any restoration, except for the closure of the flag holder holes on the front fenders and the refurbishment of the electrical system, which was necessary following a breakdown.
The latter operation involved resetting the odometer, which had recorded approximately 60,000 km.
Over the years, this unique example of a presidential sedan has won concours d'elegance competitions, been the subject of specialist articles, and featured in dedicated literature.
The car comes with Italian documents and the prestigious ASI Gold Plate, a further guarantee of authenticity and historical significance.
