The Bentley T2, produced from 1977 to 1980, represents the final evolution of the "T" series introduced in the 1960s. Closely derived from the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow II, it was distinguished primarily by its traditional Bentley grille and a slightly sportier character while maintaining the same level of luxury and refinement. The 1978 T2 was powered by a large 6.75-liter V8 engine, mated to an automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive, favoring an extremely smooth and quiet ride over pure performance. It was equipped with self-leveling hydropneumatic suspension, a highly advanced solution for the time that ensured exceptional ride comfort. With just over 550 examples produced in total, the Bentley T2 is today one of the rarest post-war classic Bentleys and represents the last expression of the traditional large luxury sedan before the stylistic evolution of the 1980s.
