Specialist Notes
The Fiat 514 was a medium-range car produced by FIAT from 1929 to 1932. It replaced the Fiat 509, and it was considered the first compact car ever built. It met with great commercial success was widely exported to foreign country. It was built in 36900 units and was marketed in two and four-door sedan, two-door coupé, two-door spider and four-door torpedo versions. Our car, chassis n° 211251 with engine n°110430, was produced in 1930. The car was registered on 23 October 1931 in Sassari with license plate SS 1184. The car is in possession of the original registration document and its black plates. Also present in the documentation are two photos probably dating back to the 1930s, with the owner. The car is now completely restored: interior, exterior and mechanics are in perfect condition. The third seat is missing. The soft top is new. The car is FIVA certified and is perfect to compete in Mille Miglia: a high coefficient and the advantage of positioning oneself early on the starting grid could help a lot if one were aiming for an overall victory.
