Her talent, her beautiful figure, her broad, vibrant, and wonderfully musical voice, and her perfect diction made her the most acclaimed actress of her time. In 1894, she gave up leading roles, signing up with F. Garzes as her mother. When Garzes died due to financial difficulties, Marini retired from acting. The Minister of Education, G. Baccelli, then appointed her to direct the acting school attached to the Accademia di Santa Cecilia in Rome. Her students included L. Cimara, S. Tofano, E. Olivieri, and M. Jacobini.
