The letter discusses everything intimately, and there's no shortage of references to Verdi, her husband. "Verdi loves solitude; however, when he converses, he prefers friends of your caliber , and perhaps women, not mine ! (...) So without the slightest remorse, without worrying about it, when you can't keep Verdi company, leave him alone, and don't be afraid that he'll complain about it!"
