Specialist Notes
First edition of the Italian translation of De coniuratione Catilinae and De bello Iugurthino : it came out, exactly on the same day, in Venice, in-4° by Bernardino de Vitali and in-8° by Rusconi (the Rusconi edition is considered less beautiful and more common).
Haym, Libri rari italiani, 22-5: "a very beautiful edition in round type, and truly rare."
