Testo integrale di una lunga predica del Cardinal Casini, letta in occasione della festa di Santa Lucia. Il testo, molto interessante, verte sulla capacità di individuare i caratteri che consentono di individuare la Bestia e i suoi seguaci. Tutto il testo è intessuto sull'apocalisse di Giovanni e sul sogno del profeta Daniele, in una stringente analisi del testo e della sua interpretazione.
Moroni X, 144: «Francesco Maria Casini (Arezzo 1648 - Roma 1719), eletto cardinale il 30.1.1713. Era nemico del fasto [...] dava ai poveri più di quanto poteva [...] le sue prediche spiravano eloquenza e perizia e si pubblicarono a Roma in 3 volumi».
