Specialist Notes
Paolo Frisi (Melegnano, April 13, 1728 - Milan, November 22, 1784) was an Italian mathematician, astronomer, and publicist, a pre-eminent figure of mathematics and science in Italy of his time, known above all for his works on hydraulics. Among his most important works is the "De Motu.." on the theory of the earth's rotation published first in Berlin in French and then in Pisa in Latin in 1756.
