In 2 °. & Nbsp; With 35 plates out of text containing 53 etchings, in total, binding of the time & nbsp; § Together in the lot Etudes progressives de Paysages par Perret , Lyons, Pintard, s.d. 3 parts in 1 vol each with its own title page. Oblong album, vignette on the title page, with 48 tables with captions, slight blooms, some papers with trimmed edges, coeval binding in half parchment, title in Italian embossed in gold on the smooth spine. Ex libris al contropiatto, initials of belonging to the title pages.
Specialist Notes
The English artist Charles Coleman (1807-1874), father of the painter Enrico, after a long stay in Italy, made these beautiful engravings of the Roman countryside between 1848 and 1850. Among the tables, many are dedicated to studies from life depicting buffaloes and other animals. & nbsp;
