Paper manuscript of 54 cards, 108 pp., Written by a single hand in chancery cursive, divided into chapters from birth to death and beyond, end of the 16th century beginning of the 17th century, coeval binding in cardboard covered with multicolored sheet, some papers detached.

Apocalyptic preacher, born in Siena but then moved to Follonica, is remembered & nbsp; in Rome, Narni and Siena in 1527 ; in Orvieto and perhaps in Camerino in the following year; in Volterra in 1529, again in Tuscany in 1530; in 1531 in Barletta in the same year or in the following year in Atri; in Bologna and Modena in 1532; and in the same years, repeatedly, in Loreto on a pilgrimage to that sanctuary, and in Spain, to that of Santiago de Compostela: here he was presumably & nbsp; in 1530, in which year he was remembered in Madrid, he even went as far as Germany. / span> " A centuries-old tradition of irregular and illiterate preachers through which the incurable sufferings of the populace were expressed and their revolt against the official, cultured and systematizing forms of religious life, gave B. an almost obligatory theme of penitential exhortations, of dramatic references to the passion of Christ, of announcements of imminent disasters, of invectives against the rich and against the priests, corrupt, greedy, forgetful of their mission, of hostility towards the doctrinal stiffening of Catholicism (...) - Treccani, on line, sub vocis
