Oxford, Sheldonian Theater, 1697. In 2nd. Elegant allegorical front door with the portrait of the author in oval engraved by M. Burghers, title page with large figured vignette, text in Greek and Latin characters, tear on .p.48 & nbsp; & nbsp; gap in the margins of p. 291 and 444, several burnished files, especially in the final part, some stains and redness, & nbsp; coeval binding in brown calfskin, back with 6 nerves, to the author compartments and stylized friezes imprinted in gold, red cuts, some peeling, defects. Al & nbsp; counterplate ex libris "of the Count of the Trinity".
