Antonio Masini & nbsp; (Bologna 1599-therein1691) Art scholar, authoritative silk merchant, member of the Congregation of beggars & nbsp; responsible for the assistance and management of hospitals and orphanages. Expert connoisseur of local documentary sources, he compiled works in which religious devotion was combined with the socio-cultural aspects of the city. The patrolled Bologna first published in Bologna in 1650 is his most famous work. The edition of 1666, divided into 3 parts, erudently annotated and enriched with learned references, assumed an encyclopedic character, becoming an inexhaustible source of historical, artistic, urban planning, religious information accompanied by exhaustive explanations. & Nbsp;
