A very entertaining satirical work on stinginess , containing the statutes and precepts of the imaginary Florentine academy «Compagnia della Lesina», whose members are devoted to absolute saving. It lists bizarre tricks for saving on every aspect of daily life, from clothing to food, to managing money.
