Information
Rome, brought to light by Gio. Giacomo de Rossi from his prints in Rome, at Pace - Calcografia Romana, 1813. In-folio, oblong, (the 28 pp. bound at the end of the volume are slightly smaller in size, 365x505 mm), paperback binding on blue paper; 10 c. of plates, 120 c. of plates, 20 p.. The work is composed of the frontispiece, a plate with a dedication to Louis XIV King of France and Navarre (inv. by Carlo Errard and inc. by Pietro Santo Bartoli), 8 initial plates depicting, among other things, the column in section and plan and the Trophies, 120 plates; following, printed double-sided on slightly smaller sized paper, 8 and 20 pp. (p. 1 contains the Dedication to the Reader by Gio Giacomo De Rossi, dated 1672; Traces of use on the binding. Copy with clean, crisp, and burred leaves, in decidedly very good overall condition.
