Specialist Notes
Rare edition. The Homiliarius doctorum de tempore et de sanctis was not composed by Paul the Deacon, but is a work by an anonymous author, probably of French origin, based on homilies by various Doctors of the Church, such as Saint Augustine and Saint Bede. It is a collection of homilies that spread throughout Europe. Its title refers to a collection of sermons excerpted from the writings of the Church Fathers and other teachers, suitable for reading during liturgical feasts.
