Brescia, Rizzardi, 1761. In 4°. Vignette on the frontispiece depicting Venice (woman with sceptre seated on a lion) and on A1r leaf, 4 leaves of double-page plates depicting the interior of the palace and ornate initials, all copper-engraved, a few leaves with very light browning, contemporary calf binding, gold title within a tag on the spine, red spray cuts, signs of wear, small losses and peeling.

Second edition, reproduced from the 1750 Roman original, edited by the scholar Antonio Maria Gradenigo (Venice 1708 – Udine 1786), professor at the Brescia Seminary and close friend of Bishop Querini. This valuable collection chronicles the lives and works of five Supreme Pontiffs and sixty-six Venetian cardinals.
