Engraved title page, vignette with the dedicatee's coat of arms, copperplate vignettes, all engraved by Domenico Cagnoni, contemporary hardboard binding, gold title within a tag on the spine, red spray edges, some small losses, minor defects. Fading dedication on the flyleaf.
Specialist Notes
Giuseppe Colpani (Brescia, 1739-1822). An Enlightenment poet influential in Lombard literary culture and famous for the didactic poems collected in this volume, he was a contributor to "Il Caffè," a friend of Beccaria and the Verris, and a rival of Parini.
