Information
Milan, Libreria Editrice de l'Ardito, 1920. 8°, 200 x 132 mm. Splendidly illustrated paperback, one copy with edges. With a beautiful and lengthy dedication from the author: "To Miss Mary Fedrazzo, whose blond tresses could envelop the restless Ardire with coils far more tenacious than those of the younger Edera. Ferrucccio Vecchi. In Milan, December 17, 1921."
Specialist Notes
The book explores the translation of the values and fighting spirit of the Arditi of the First World War into postwar Italian civil and political life. Published in the same year the Arditi military corps was formally disbanded (1920), the text theorizes the need to maintain the "Arditi mentality" (based on courage, action, camaraderie, and patriotism) intact to counter the social and political crisis and to shape a new Italian society.
