Information
A rare and interesting historical document, a card depicting the seating plan at an official banquet, likely held in 1923, between the Italian and Polish governments . The banquet was almost certainly organized to celebrate relations between the Kingdom of Italy and the Second Republic of Poland, a key ally against Bolshevik communism. Dimensions: 250 x 168 mm. Hand-drawn, using black for male officials and politicians, and red for women. A rare and precious testimony to the institutional protocol of over a century ago. Among the prominent names, in addition to Mussolini, seated at the center of the table on the right, are the names of the President of the Senate, Tittoni, the Hon. Ciano, the Secretary of the PNF, Giunta, Federzoni, Minister of the Interior, as well as the Polish guests, above all Augusto Zaleski, Minister of Foreign Affairs.
