In Venice, in the Merceria di S. Giuliano, 1768. In 2° oblong. 103 etchings , 205 x 290 mm (plate), EXCELLENT COPY in its contemporary full parchment binding with a refined drawing of the Lion of St. Mark impressed on the upper cover, on the front pastedown applied blue cartouche with photomechanical collotype print in black ink (122 x 98 mm) reproducing the woodcut coat of arms of the Gradenigo family surrounded by the handwritten note: "Ex libris NV Petri Gradonico de confinio S. Justine, ab eo collectis ad utilitatem studij sui, et ad usum præstantium Nobilium Reipublicæ."

Gradenigo, Pietro ( 1695-1776) amassed a rich collection of medals, printed works, and manuscripts. The partial catalogue of manuscripts relating to the history of Venice was compiled and included by Giannantonio Moschini in: Lives of three illustrious figures of the Gradenigo family, deserving of literary merit in the 18th century, published in the auspicious Gradenigo-Dolfin wedding , 1819; see also: M. Zorzi, La libreria di San Marco , Milan 1987, p. 339.
Luca Carlevarijs, with his works Le Fabriche and Vedute di Venetia , is considered one of the pioneers of Venetian vedutism, anticipating artists such as Canaletto. Before Carlevarijs, Venetian prints often had celebratory or imaginative intent. Carlevarijs applied geometric rigor and a scientific perspective, offering a precise topographical documentation of the lagoon city.
