forged iron blade with external shearing worked in dots on both sides. Wooden grip with dark patina, signs of use.
Prestige item.
These knives were used in tribal disputes to fight but also to impress opponents. Being considered precious objects they also served as a dowry to get a wife. In this specimen the blade has palmette incisions and its external profile is well sharpened. The wooden handle ends in a multi-sided prism: an unusual detail.
