Autographed poster by Allen Ginsberg, one of the leading figures of the Beat Generation, measuring 44 x 60 cm (17 x 23 in.) and certified by JSA. Allen Ginsberg was one of the most influential and controversial poets of the 20th century, as well as a central figure of the Beat Generation, the American literary and cultural movement of the 1950s. His most famous work, "Howl," published in 1956, became a manifesto of youthful rebellion and a scathing critique of the conformism of American society. The raw and visceral poem addressed themes such as alienation, sexuality, and drug use, leading to the publisher's arrest for obscenity in a trial that attracted worldwide attention. In addition to being a revolutionary poet, Ginsberg was a tireless activist for civil rights, freedom of expression, and pacifism. His figure, with his unmistakable beard and his powerful verses, inspired generations of artists and dissidents, leaving a legacy that goes far beyond literature and consecrated him as an icon of the counterculture.
