The "Star Trek The Movies 25th Anniversary Collection" is a collector's VHS box set released to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the original Star Trek series, which debuted in 1966. This limited edition was released in 1991 and contained all the theatrical Star Trek films released up to that point. The set included the first five films: • Star Trek: The Motion Picture (1979) • Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (1982) • Star Trek III: The Search for Spock (1984) • Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home (1986) • Star Trek V: The Final Frontier (1989) The box set was aimed at fans and collectors at a time when the VHS format was still dominant. Some variants of this collection were released in a limited edition of 1,000 copies (like the one up for auction) with a document autographed by William Shatner, the famous Captain James T. Kirk in the saga. The DVHs have their original frosting: only numbers 1 and 5 have the bottom edge of the frosting open.
