Large noble coat of arms on the dedicatee's title page, woodcut friezes and decorated initials, missing and restored title page, missing 6 initial pages and two final pages (of the Allegory); the body of the 208 pp. text is complete, refined 19th-century blue morocco binding, stains on the covers.
Specialist Notes
EXTREMELY RARE TASSIAN EDITION, based on Vittorio Baldini's 1581 edition, with the first and last fascicles replaced. Only two copies in Edit16 are known.
