Elegant, richly decorated architectural frontispiece. Splendid long-grain red morocco binding with gilt floral motifs on the covers, metal clasps, crowned monogram in the center of the upper cover, spine with gilt title and decorated inserts, gilt edges.

The House of Lascaris of Ventimiglia is the main branch of the Counts of Ventimiglia, originating in July 1261 with the marriage, in Constantinople, between William Peter I of Ventimiglia, Count of Ventimiglia, and Eulogìa Lascaris, daughter of the Byzantine Emperor Theodore II of Nicaea.
