Specialist Notes
A STUNNING LETTER FROM 1921, WHICH TESTIFIES TO THE EXTRAORDINARY IMMEDIATE SUCCESS OF FUTURISM IN EVERY ASPECT OF ARTISTIC AND CULTURAL LIFE .
"Dear Mimì Lazzaro, thank you for Ascesa . Very good! I like Mare very much. Thanks for the review of Alcova d'acciaio , which is triumphing everywhere. In Milan and Rome, everyone notes the triumph of futurism - words in freedom and free-word style - in the first 100 almost free-word pages of D'Annunzio's Notturno . Please come to an agreement with Shrapnel, Lo Presti and Etna. Futurism does not mean separatism. I have just received Dinamismo scarlatto . I will read it and write to you as soon as I have time, because after the inauguration in Ravenna I inaugurated the Bal Tic-Tac in Rome, and now I am about to leave for Prague (a performance of synthetic theatre and discourse). As you can see, it is not easy to hurry when you have so much to do. A fraternal hug FT Marinetti I like your painting-madness. Thank you."
