A beautiful two-page letter, 212 x 136 mm., on Poesia letterhead - Via Senato 2 Milan , in which Marinetti invites Capuana to dinner that evening, along with his lawyers Barzilai, Sarfatti, and Cappa. These are evidently preparatory meetings for Marinetti's defense. When Marinetti's novel Mafarka the Futurist (1910) was put on trial for outrage against decency, Capuana wrote an impassioned defense report in which he defined the work as "great and of the highest morality," extolling the clash between instincts and spirituality.
