"« Aria madre » is the collection of aeropoems par excellence , thanks also to the beautiful thematic cover by Alabiso (whose typographic design is directly inspired by the style and colors of the bolted DeperoAzari), to the square format of a book-object (rather unusual for a volume of almost two hundred pages), to the immersion of the book up to the peritext in the technical universe of flight, with the pages that become quotations. A short preface and a long and significant original test by Marinetti (where the experiences of Sicilian Futurism are retraced—Mazza, Jannelli, Giardina etc.—which culminates in the young standard-bearer of the new aeropoetic manner) precede 30 long compositions that have aeroengines as protagonists (MC 72, Spad 3, Breda 88, Fiat CR 32, Asso 750, SVA, Breda 65, Fiat G 50, S 55 X, Fiat BR 20, S 79 etc.), played quite effectively between free verse, word-liberalism (with some typographical invention) and inserts of pure technical terminology from the military aeronautics.
