In the appendix, two substantial critical writings, completely unpublished and fundamental to understanding the meaning of Cesare Pavese's poetry: «Il mestiere di poeta», dated 1934, and «A proposito di certe poesie non ancora scritto», dating back to February 1940; «Whatever my future as a writer may be, I consider the research for "Lavorare stanca" to be concluded with this prose». Copy embellished with the ownership signature and a note by the eminent literary critic Giuseppe Susini.
