Specialist Notes
It contains the Georgics, the Bucolics, the Aeneid. The edition is due to the da Legnano brothers, whose family of booksellers commissioned and sold the works in their shop "under the sign of the Angel". For printing, they used different typographers depending on the type of text: for those that required particular attention to the illustrations, as in the present case, they turned almost exclusively to the Scinzenzeler. Sanders 7663.
