Venice, heirs of Melchiorre Sessa, 1570. In 8°. Brand of the cat with a mouse in its mouth within an illustrated frame, head and drop caps illustrated in vignettes, with full-page woodcuts in the text depicting the "Necklace of the Gartiera - Necklace of Savoy - Necklace of Tosone - Necklace of San Michele", woodcut portrait in fine volume by Sansovino, marginal marks of humidity, coeval limp parchment binding with traces of bindings, tears and missing parts. Handwritten note of ownership on the title page by Ferrante del Monte.

Second valuable edition of this detailed treatise on the Knights, the princeps is from 1566.
The work "contains the invention, the order, & the declaration of all the fate of the Knights. With the statutes & laws of the Gartiera, of the Tosone of San Michele, & of the Nuntiata. Again reprinted with a new junta". Detailed survey of the history, ceremonies and statutes of the Orders of chivalry, to which is added the description of the islands of Malta and Elba.
