Specialist Notes

Facsimile reproduction of an illuminated manual of medicine, one of the richest and most complete of the medieval era. The tacuinum is inspired by the well-known manual of the Arab doctor Ibn Butlan, active in Baghdad in the century. XI. The term "notebook" itself derives from the Arabic & nbsp; Taqwīm al ‑ ṣiḥḥa, or tables of health.
