dating: Mid 19th Century provenance: Turkey, Single-edged blade of typical shape, with thin groove near the back, large areas with rust damage, on the right side rectangular cartouches with gold-inlaid inscriptions in Arabic language on a dark background and between silver-inlaid decorations, the opposite side with silver decorations. The base covered with silver foil engraved with floral motifs in relief on a granulated background. Beautiful hilt completely covered with embossed and engraved silver foil with floral motifs, partially nielloed. Leather-covered wooden scabbard with embossed and engraved silver mounts with floral and geometric motifs (small defects). In beautiful patina and of good quality. length 72 cm.
