dating: Period (1603-1867) provenance: Japan, Shinogizukuri-iorimune. Nagasa (35.3 cm), hada: itame mokume, hamon: haku midare, ko nie nioi, o kissaki, boshi: ko maru, gilded metal habaki. Nakago with a mekugi-ana. Beautiful koshirae, iron tsuba, tate-maru-gata, gold niko-bori and shakudo with dragonfly, and floral motifs, kaku-mimi-konicu. Fuchi-kashira decorated en suite. Menuki with heart-shaped leaf. Saya in black lacquered wood with groove in the upper part. Kozuka with signed blade and brass grip decorated with gold, silver and copper floral motifs in low relief. Shinto era. length 50.5 cm.
