Contemporary Art Week arrives in Milan: three days dedicated to Modern & Contemporary Art.

The final round on December 4 presents 275 lots, offering a wide and varied selection in terms of dates, artists, and price ranges.

A special section of the catalog brings together works from the Palmiro Togliatti and Nilde Iotti Collection, including an interesting group of paintings and drawings by Renato Guttuso, testifying to a deep friendship and political affinity. This collection reveals the figurative taste of the Italian political class of the time, with works by artists close to the social world and labor issues, at a time when abstraction and informal art were emerging but had not yet affected the centrality of Italian figurative art.

The day beforore, the catalogue of the main Modern and Contemporary Art auction, will feature 100 selected works by some of the big names on the international scene, such as Max Ernst, Marino Marini, Otto Wols, Alberto Savinio, Arnaldo Pomodoro, and Andy Warhol.
