dating: about 1860 provenance: France, Made with silk with the three colours of France, the front with two 'N' monograms between oak and laurel branches above and below inscription 'L'EMPEREUR NAPOLEON III AU 4.éme REGIMENT DE CHASSEURS', on the sides 'N' monogram decorated en suite, drones, crown and eagle. Back side with the regiment number (4.éme DE CHASSEURS) between oak and laurel branches above battle names 'BIBERACH', 'LA MOSKOWA', 'WURTCHEN', 'HANAU', 'CAMPILLO', 'MAGENTA' and 'SOLFERINO', below 'N' monogram, sides en suite. On the left opening for the shaft, fringes in gilded threads on the right and lower border, upper ones missing. Damaged fabric, but still for exhibition. Very rare. dimensions 68 x 58 cm.
