dating: 1813 provenance: France, Elegant engraving on paper by F. Godefroy from a painting by F. Gerard depicting Napoleon's greatest military achievement. Marked 'F. Godefroy sculp. 1813' at lower left. Marked 'depose a la Biblioteque Imperiale le 27 Septembre 1813,' at the center and 'a Paris chez F. Godefroy rue Bellefond II° 37 F.B. Montmartre.' Superficial finishing. Kept in an old gilded wooden frame and under glass. Epoch: Early Empire. dimensions without frame circa 95,5 x 51,5 cm.
