dating: circa 1800 provenance: France, Round, two-stage, 18 mm cal. barrels, juxtaposed with rib, the first part engraved with figure on horseback in front of a city, with remains of gild finishing, silver foresight; engraved, gilt tang with broad sight;. Forward spring locks with enclosed hammers, sealing pan, signed 'SIGN....DARMI' (not clearly legible) under the hammer and on the other one '...AIX', both engraved with rows of soldiers on gold ground; the left lock in better conditions. Wooden full stock with checkered and slightly sculpted neck, silver mounts, trigger-guard with remains of engravings. Produced without ramrod. It is an important pistol, probably belonged to a general; although the conditions are not perfect, it is an arm of great historical and artistic value. length 32 cm.
