dating: 1861 - 1863 provenance: Kingdom of Italy, Rifled, cylindrical, 11 mm cal. barrel (some signs of use inside, visible rifling), with foresight. Six-shot cylinder marked with 'AG'. Working mechanism (rotation needs revision, it occasionally locks up). Frame with remains of Lefaucheux markings and serial number 'LF 46xxx'. Wooden grips. The final model for the Italian Carabinieri (later also supplied to other corps), commissioned to Lefaucheux initially in 12,000 examples, between the years 1861 and 1862.
