dating: Mid 19th Century provenance: Milan, Octagonal, rifled, browned, damascened, 18 mm cal. barrels, signed with gold 'COLOMBO CARLO MARIA', engraved with frames at the base, upper barrel with front sight; engraved tangs provided with rear sight; backward spring locks engraved with floral motifs and decorated with frame, signed 'COLOMBO' and 'IN MILANO' around the hammers; wooden butts with checkered base with bands, oval butt-plates with sculpted border and iron mounts, en suite engraved trigger guards and butt-plates with drum with shell-shaped lid, on the back silver escutcheon, brass-tipped wooden ramrods with iron cartridge extractors. Engraved silver ramrod pipes, concave, smooth, silver rib on the opposite side. length 36.5 cm.
