dating: Period (1603-1867) provenance: Japan, Hachi consisting of a cap and four, folding, worked, black lacquered, iron blades, held by an arch fixed at the edges on the base blade and with a revolving screw at the top, blades joined together with black silk lacing as the five shikoro blades lacquered en suite. Small fukigaeshi with kawari-shimazu-jyuji mon. Gilded wooden nichirin maedate. Lined with restored fabric with original fabric border decorated with flowers. height 20 cm.
