dating: Mid 19th Century provenance: Bruxelles, Smoothbore, round, 17 mm cal. barrels, with rib signed 'A. D. JANSEN ARQUEBUSIER DU ROI A BRUXELLES', foresight; the base of the barrels and tang engraved with floral motifs; forward spring locks and all mounts decorated en suite. Wooden half stock with checkered grip. Brass-tipped wooden ramrod and iron cartridge extractor. Adolphe Jansen is documented in Brussels from 1843-47 (Der Neue Stöckel vol. I, p. 585). length 116.5 cm.
